This Month in
History
April 9, 1865, Gen.
Robert E. Lee surrendered the Southern army at
Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia. This marked the turning point for all citizens, as true liberty, individual
freedom, and state's rights were abolished by the federal
government.
The following 139 years of growing federal
power and intrusive
actions of federal agencies, with total disregard to the Constitution, demonstrate a relentless effort to destroy what our founding fathers started. General Lee himself commented after the war, "Had I
foreseen these results of subjugation, (another word for usurpation), I
would have preferred to die at Appomattox."
The feds now go, unchecked, spending,
regulating, and lining
their pockets with an arrogance hard to believe. Elections are bought with taxpayers money, through all the special interest programs, and the cycle continues. Reprinted from an essay by Joe
